Mates Travel Company is an inbound travel company based in Bariloche and the surrounding region. We plan and coordinate transfers, land excursions, lake cruises, winter services and tailor-made programmes, working with travel agencies and tour operators as well as directly with travellers.

Mates is a name that carries meaning in more than one language. In English, mates speaks of companionship and connection. In Argentina, mate is about coming together, sharing time and the simple gesture of preparing something to offer to another person.

That double meaning is at the heart of our name and also of the way we work: staying close to our travellers, building relationships with the agencies that trust us, and working closely with the people involved in each service we coordinate.

We coordinate each programme according to the characteristics of the group, the itinerary, the timing and the specific needs of each trip. This includes paying attention to individual passenger requirements and, when accessibility needs are involved, checking the conditions of the services and venues in advance, looking for alternatives when necessary and clearly communicating what can be arranged in each case.

We see accessibility as part of responsible, personalised service. For this reason, we aim to understand each traveller’s needs before the trip and work together with travellers, agencies and local suppliers to organise each service in the most suitable way possible.

Our way of working combines local knowledge, coordination and direct contact before and during the stay, with the aim of providing a clear and consistent operation from beginning to end.
